It is time for Minnesota to replace Amy Klobuchar with a conservative who will stand up for our ideals instead of rubber-stamping Obama’s liberal agenda.  Join us as our candidates seeking the Republican endorsement discuss and debate the important issues regarding our country’s future.

All filed Republican candidates are confirmed to participate.  These are Joe Arwood, Anthony Hernandez and Dan “Doc” Severson.  Additional candidates may also file for the race and participate.

The 90 minute forum will begin at 6:30pm and will be followed by a reception, featuring dessert, punch and coffee.  The forum will also feature a straw poll, allowing everyone in attendance to cast a vote for their favorite candidate at the conclusion of the forum.

Attendance is free with a voluntary donation.  For more information, email us at mail@beltramigop.com or call Ken and Abbi Cobb at 218.333.8616.

Calling all precinct delegates and alternates elected at Caucus on February 7, along with local interested Republicans and conservatives to our annual convention.  This year’s exciting convention will feature the following activities:

Election of County Delegates

As a precinct delegate or alternate elected at caucus in Beltrami County, you can run for county delegate.  If elected as a county delegate, you would represent our county at congressional district and state conventions, where you will get to participate in important business such as:

Debate Platform Resolutions

We will consider the resolutions to change our state party platform that were approved by a precinct on caucus night.  Each resolution will be opened for debate and then a vote.  If approved, the resolution will be then forwarded to district convention for further consideration.

Speeches by Party Leaders and Candidates

Our convention is an opportunity to visit with and listen to local, regional and possibly also statewide party leaders and candidates.  Our convention is your opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about the conservative ideals that have made our country great.

To be seated as a delegate to our convention, you must have been elected as a delegate or alternate at your precinct caucus on February 7, 2012.  Alternates will be seated by rank if allotted precinct seats are available.  If you are not a Beltrami County precinct delegate or alternate, we welcome you to attend as a guest (but you will not be able to participate in convention business).

For delegates and alternates, the registration fee of $5 is payable at the door and will help us cover our expenses to host the convention.  There is no fee to attend as a guest.  Coffee and rolls will be served.

Registration begins at 8:15am and ends at 9:30am.  The convention will begin at 9:00am.  Based on past conventions, we would anticipate adjourning around noon to 1:00pm.
