A series of remedial conversational sessions in “Mathematical Reasoning” will be conducted by Dr. David A. Bahr, BSU Professor Emeritus of Physics, at the Paul Bunyan Mall location formerly occupied by Christopher & Banks and now by the Beltrami Republicans. Sessions start on Friday, January 24, and all sessions are free of charge.
These sessions will address several mathematical disciplines from a deeper philosophical level of understanding than most math courses, and they will include practical exercises in each discipline. They are focused on support for students taking math classes, as well as nonstudents with mathematical interests. Specific topics to be addressed include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Group sessions will take place on Fridays at 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Individual tutorial sessions will be available on weekdays by appointment, so anyone who misses a group session can get the same presentation by tutorial appointment. Other topics can also be addressed by tutorial appointment at the student’s request. To sign up for a group session, visit BeltramiGOP.com or e-mail [email protected]. To schedule a tutorial session appointment, e-mail [email protected] or text 218-368-0951.
